Anxiety and having a baby.?

My husband have just been diagnosed with anxiety. He have been very short temperred lately and distant. Will a man with anxiety be able to deal with the added stress of a baby and pregnancy? I really want chlidren and we were in the process of planning a family, I just dont know if he will be bale to handle it due to the anxiety.
