Prep work for laying vinyl tiles over laminate?

I would like to lay vinyl tiles over my existing laminate flooring. Removing the existing laminate would not be a good option as it is strongly bonded to the wood subfloor below. Can I just stick the vinyl tiles right on the laminate or should I use an additional adhesive? Is it recommended to sand the laminate or otherwise prepare the laminate surface first?
