red earred sliders are not vegetarians until they are adults. they want live, or dead meat. Turtle pellets are a plus. Even as adults this type of turtle still isnt that BIG of a veggy goer. they will always love that meat. Go to the pet store and buy the pellets. you'll see a picture of your turtle on the outside of the package.
