If a prosecutor offers a deal , like 12 months and 6 months suspended?

what are the odds or chances that he will consider a counter offer, cause i know that our lawyer plans on making a offer to the istant DA for 10 months or 9 months suspended time. Any input on this would be appreciated..thanks
